What do you provide?

The service allows you to use your existing video equipment and Internet connection to video conference across the Internet.

How do I set up my system?

Simply configure your video endpoint with the configuration details we provide. This should take no more than 5 minutes. We are available to support you through this.

What bandwidth do I require?

The call rate supported is up to 768Kb/s. You will need an Internet connection that will provide for at least 1Mb/s both directions. Most ADSL2+ services will easily achieve this. To deliver the best call quality, this Internet service should not be shared with other applications such as data.

What is the call quality like?

HVCI is an Internet based service. Accordingly, the quality of the call is dependent on what the quality of your Internet connection is like and what else is using the connection whilst the conference is taking place. To deliver the best call quality, the Internet service should ideally be dedicated to video.

Can anyone else see or hear my conference calls?

No. Provided your endpoint supports it, all of your calls are automatically encrypted with military grade AES 128 bit encryption.

Is the service standards based?

Absolutely. We utilize open standards like H.323 and SIP to name but a few.

What endpoint video systems can I use with?

A wide range of models and manufacturers are supported. You can use any H.323 compliant endpoint that supports H.460 18 & 19 and H.235 Annex D. SIP support is being introduced as well in the near future.

Won't firewalls inhibit our ability to make a call?

Our solution supports firewall traversal for secure conferencing through your firewall. This works without the need to make firewal changes so there are no security concerns.

Who can I call once connected with 'HVCI'?

You can contact any video endpoint that is publicly reachable via the Internet with a public IP address.

How do I get started?

Ordering is simple:

1. Fill in an order form & direct deposit authorisation (monthly charge to bank account or credit card). You will need to pay a small, one-off set up fee.
2. Sign the contract- the standard is 2 years. If you sign up for 3 years, we waive the set up fee. Your service will be up within 4 hours.
